 Lots of new things are surfacing about the game now, thanks to Japanese playthroughs on youtube you can even get a taste of the game without going through all the trouble of importing. It's gonna be a long wait... I wonder who's going to localize this Rune Factory game? After their handling of Frontier, I'm hoping for X-Seed. Whatever your opinion, in case it's still up in the air maybe you can try letting Marvelous know! Of course, with Rune Factory Oceans releasing, I made sure to find something to appease everyone for this update's fanart spotlight. I wonder who everyone's favorite is? Been a bit since I posted. No really good reason for that, but in any case, some neat things have happened with Harvest Moon and Rune Factory Oceans since the last news post. Harvest Moon: Back to Nature has made it to the PSN successfully, Anette, Tabatha, and Candy have been confirmed to be making special appearances in Rune Factory Oceans, and the game itself is due out in Japan in 9 days! The official website is brimming with new character information including the 14 bachelors and bachelorettes and a handful of the townsfolk. Of course, can't forget that it's Valentine's day as well. I'm sure this art by previously featured artist Sanoshi will be up to the task of representing the holiday. As with the last of Sanoshi's art, this was originally a request by a member of Ushi no Tane's forums. | Remember the scans I made a while back? Some information has been gleaned from them thanks to new RS forum member and Ushi No Tane resident cuc. If you wanted to know more background information on the Rune Factory world, now's your chance! Check it out: http://fogu.com/hmforum/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=131170 cuc's also been pretty handy in RFO news. One of our members also pointed out him posting on Ushi details about how Ymir works. Things of note include him having his own RP, that he houses your first farm area and monster pen, and that traversing the ocean is quite a task. Apparently a reporter walked for over three hours without meeting any sort of end. I was sorta hoping for more information in light of Jump Festa, but we take what we get.  Ah. Winter has finally officially set in. Finally, the chill in the air, snow on the ground, and ever-present Winter/Christmas themed songs on the radio feel justified. Did anyone perhaps see the Lunar Eclipse that marked the occcasion? The official website finally updated beyond the low-key blog posts last Friday. It's still a little lacking, not even having all the characters we already know about. Thankfully, adriasang translates some of it including the bits of new information such as opening of the story. Check the link for more specific details.  and now for the standard art update. This panel is from a Hsu and Chan comic in Electronic Gaming Monthly's February 2004 issue wherein the title characters set out to rig an awards show. I'd upload the whole page, but last I looked it wasn't on the official website and I don't feel like doing anything bad or something. So just dig out your own issues or use whatever fanciful internet ways there are to find it.  Though it's technically still going, it sure feels like Autumn is fading away just as soon as it came, doesn't it? The leaves are still abundant, but the chill is getting harsher and several more northern areas are getting their fair share of snow. Hopefully we can get our fair share of those great Autumn days before they completely fade away this year. Unfortunately, it's still in Japanese so that's not very helpful. More scans of Rune Factory Oceans have been brought to attention on our forums from other forums that helps mostly highlight the characters existing with new information, and touches lightly on some new ones. Nothing particularly substantial. |
